About The Inn at the Amethyst Lantern
It's all sinking in, especially since THE INN AT THE AMETHYST LANTERN is now officially listed on the Nebula Awards site! So I thought I had better write an official blog post about this Nebula and BSFA Award finalist book, so that everyone can learn its history and other info about the book!
To that end, head to my special blog post, "About The Inn at the Amethyst Lantern". This tells about the TWO BOOK DEALS IN ONE DAY (still crazy, and yet something similar happened THIS year with my two BSFA nominations and a book deal on the same day, followed by the secret Nebula nom news a couple days later; when it rains, it pours), how the book came about, what Lunarpunk even is, what other authors thought, etc. Hope you enjoy the post!
I'm a bit dizzy seeing the book show up on all manner of sites like:
BookRiot: https://bookriot.com/59th-nebula-awards-finalists/
Nerdvana: 2023 Nebula Award finalists announced
Locus Magazine: https://locusmag.com/2024/03/2023-nebula-awards-ballot/
LitHub: https://lithub.com/here-are-the-finalists-for-the-59th-annual-nebula-awards/
File 770: https://file770.com/sfwa-announces-the-59th-nebula-awards-finalists/
It's all fascinating and kind of wacky and definitely cool. Naturally, I'm hoping I'll get votes for this book from SFWA and BSFA voters! And I very much look forward to more readers discovering the book as well.
I'll be at the Nebula Awards Conference this June in Pasadena, this time as a finalist. I'd like to think that Gen, Jas, Mira, Nyota, Amber, Anisette, Phan, Lyn, and Dhatura would all approve. Don't know them? Read the book: these teens are going to save the future.
Write on!
