Now that WonderCon is behind me, April is a big month to look forward to, with two book releases, several signings, and more!

April 2026 - A Very Busy Month!

Dear Readers,

I am shattered in the best way from WonderCon 2026 in Anaheim. I'd gladly switch off the world for a week to recover, but this April is full on, so I cannot! I have two book releases this month also...

If you want to see my WonderCon shenanigans, there's a lot on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/jendiagammon/

Okay, buckle up, here's what's going on this April. Note: you'll need to load the whole newsletter on the web vs. email because it's so big:

Oz Anthology 45% Funded!

The Stars and Sabers® Oz anthology, OMNIBOZ: TALES FROM THE LAND OF OZ is now 45% funded as of the writing of this newsletter! If you'd like to throw $5 in or more, the perks get better as they go. This is a fast one; edits are now back with the writers, and we need to get this book funded ASAP and out the door, for publication on L. Frank Baum's birthday, May 15!

Writers include myself (my first published Oz story!), my co-editor Ernie Chiara, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Eric Shanower, Patrick Barb, Jeannie Warner, Dennis K. Crosby, J.R. Dawson, Vincent V. Cava, Helen Glynn Jones, and Nicole Field. Note that these are acclaimed science fiction, fantasy, and horror authors... and this is not a children's book. There will be a dividing line in the book, with the darkest (some VERY dark) stories beyond that point! I know a particular Lion who might need another bottle of courage for those. The earlier stories are much lighter and tone, and all so unique. I love it. Here's the crowd-funding link:

One Week to THE VALE OF SEVEN DRAGONS - and Book Tour Info!

How'd we get here so fast?! April is the month in which I have two book releases, and that is still just so wild to me. The first is The Vale of Seven Dragons, an epic fantasy adventure, OUT IN ONE WEEK, on April 7!

This is the tale of a rebellious princess and a loyalist prince, seven lost dragons, and the beginning of the end of their world as they know it.

The 16-year-old Princess Githilien (Thilly) of Vickery wants nothing to do with the Crown. She wants either to become a knight, which is forbidden, or join her mother’s secretive mystical practices in the north. Whereas 18-year-old Prince Beaumain of Catellaith is of age to be knighted, and he frowns upon any deviation from his royal birthright. By tradition, the two teens should be betrothed from Thilly’s birth, but her mother insisted on raising an independent daughter who might choose her own destiny.

But when monsters invade the lands of the south, Thilly and Beaumain must unite and fight for the future of their lands, and try to find the missing Seven Dragons of myth…if they even existed at all.

And Other News...

Whew, that was a lot, and thanks for following. I'm racing to get my book deadline fulfilled for the Vale sequel. Then I have unrelated manuscripts to send out to literary agents, so I'll be working on getting those ready. May and June are full-on with book tour and travel for Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall. I'll also be at a book signing for the Women of the Weird West anthology that I have a short story in, so San Diego gets a visit from me twice in June! More on that later. Plus other West Coast conventions I'll be on panels for. The May and June updates will be quite something for sure!

There are murmurings that Doomflower has a narrator casting call with Encyclopocalypse Publications, and if that's moving forward, it'll be my first audiobook, which will be great. Can't believe it's been almost a year since Doomflower came out!

And also, Eastercon is this coming weekend, and The Secret of the Sapphire Sentinel (writing as J. Dianne Dotson) is a finalist for a BSFA Award. BSFA members can vote as late as the convention! I appreciate any votes. Here is the shortlist for voters, and there's a form you can vote from: https://www.bsfa.co.uk/bsfa-awards-shortlist.

As a sneak peek into May, I will be at the Bay Area Book Festival! Read about the awesome panel I'm part of, in which I'll discuss ATACAMA.

I just want to take a moment and thank you all for supporting me and my work.
