What Do You Do to Start Your Creative Day?
I write on weekday mornings, before heading into work at 1 pm, so after I've dropped the kiddo at Kindergarten, I'll usually get in some physical activity. I either do a workout video or take my pitbull for a walk, as I've found the best way to coax my mind into the right space is by moving. Then I make an oat milk latte and dig in! I'm incredibly lucky to have a schedule like this, and I try not to take it for granted.

Laurel Hightower is a bourbon loving native of Lexington, Kentucky.
