January 9 Update
An upcoming podcast, an article, and more updates...
Hi everyone,
Now that the year is rolling, everyone has started "circling back," and I decided I needed a few days off social media after managing quite a lot of stuff this past week. To that end, I'm staying off until Monday (unless I decide to extend that!).
Podcast / Radio Show Appearance This Sunday
In the meantime, I'm again a guest on Pint o'Comics this Sunday afternoon/evening for their radio show. This time, we're going to be talking about Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall and some of my other 2026 books! Here's more info:

Full Cover for Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall
Speaking of Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall (April 21, 2026), I now have the full wrap cover to reveal!

You can find preorder info here:
Feature in Bleeding Cool News
This was pretty cool to see. Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall is featured in Bleeding Cool News!

I'm loving the rollout for this book. Thrilled, too, that gift shops and comic book shops will be carrying it, in addition to major and independent bookstores!
Patreon Update
While I use this Ghost newsletter for general news and updates, my Patreon is where I dig into exclusive posts and I share aspects of my creative life. If you've been curious about my fantasy debut this year, The Vale of Seven Dragons, I made a Patreon post about the main characters. Free for all subscribers (there are free and supporting tiers; the supporting tiers, at a few dollars a month, really do help me get art and writing supplies, and are much appreciated). Here's the link to that post:
Writing Update
I'm contracted to write two sequels to The Vale of Seven Dragons (April 7, 2026), and you can read about that trilogy beginning here:

To that end, I'm currently writing the first sequel right now (Coursers of Wings and Flame, releasing April 2027), and it's due to the publisher this Spring. It's great to be immersed back in that universe I made, akin to walking into a place where everyone knows you, and some of them are monsters and dragons. Wait, what? Anyway, it's fun.
Going, Going, Gothic!
My other writing news is that I made possibly the best book pitch of my life to someone who I'd really like to champion it...and they loved it! So I'm going to spend the next couple of months finishing that book as well as working on Coursers of Wings and Flame, mentioned above.
I am keeping my cards close to my chest for this new book, but it is a gothic horror/dark fantasy mashup, atmospheric and fiery in equal measure. I still have several other manuscripts I can finish this year, but I'm waiting to hear about a possible writing project, so everything is kind of in a holding pattern until I hear about that...
Speaking of Gothic Horror...

My Appalachian weird horror novella, Godfestation, due out August 11, is now up for preorder everywhere! See what Adrian Tchaikovsky has to say about my book:
“Intriguing and creepy, a dive into folk horror and family history full of twists and shocks.”
– Adrian Tchaikovsky, Hugo Award-winning author of Children of Time

A Fruitful Meeting
This past week, I had a very LA meeting. It lasted three hours! I can't get into the details, but it went quite well, and I hope the seeds planted in that meeting bear fruit! More as I can say...
Stars and Sabers Publishing
My imprint, Stars and Sabers Publishing, has a terrific roster now across fantasy, horror, science fiction, and soon, thrillers and mysteries. Take a look at all the titles out now and forthcoming!

My Social Media
After my weekend hiatus, I'll be back to my social media. Here are my accounts (I'm most active on Threads and Instagram):

And that's it for now! Hope you all have a great weekend.
Ad astra,
Jendia
