Mid July Update
There's so much going on this month!

Dear readers and supporters,
As it's a wildly busy month, I thought I'd better make a mid-month post to let you all know what's going on.
To Wonder and Starshine Preorders - Paperback and eBook

I'm delighted that preorders are live now for both eBook and paperback for my new short story collection, To Wonder and Starshine (Trepidatio Publishing) out in TEN DAYS!
This weekend, I built dedicated pages on my site for each of my books, so let's start with this one. You can find various links within, but of course, please do order from your favorite bookseller. You'll also see some of the early praise it's been given, which is thrilling.

Star Wars: Andor Panel at San Diego Comic-Con

I will also have a book signing at SDCC at 2 PM! Details here:

Our Stars and Sabers Titles So Far
I'm excited to have all these great books coming from our imprint, Stars and Sabers Publishing, over the next couple of years. Take a look at what is out now, and what's coming soon:

A Site Tour of My Own Books

Meanwhile, as I mentioned earlier, I spent a considerable amount of time updating my website, specifically the books page. This entailed creating unique pages for each of my standalone books released so far. Obviously, To Wonder and Starshine was linked above. And now, a list of the others:
Atacama (Sley House Publishing, 2025) - A Speculative Thriller Novel

Doomflower (Encyclopocalypse Publications, 2025) - A Gonzo Campy Horror Novel

The Inn at the Amethyst Lantern (Android Press, 2023) - Writing as J. Dianne Dotson - A Young Adult Sci-fi and Fantasy Adventure - Nebula and BSFA Award Finalist

The Shadow Galaxy: A Collection of Short Stories and Poetry (Trepidatio Publishing, 2023) - Writing as J. Dianne Dotson - Longlisted for the BFSA and British Fantasy Awards

The Questrison Saga® Space Opera Series - Science Fiction and Fantasy (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021):
Heliopause

Ephemeris

Accretion

Luminiferous

And there you have it! Those are the books available so far, with several more to come starting this autumn, including the sequel (2025) and prequel (2026) to The Inn at the Amethyst Lantern, my dragon fantasy trilogy starting with The Vale of Seven Dragons (2026, 2027, 2028), my official Choose Your Own Adventure book Dungeon Crawl at the Haunted Mall (2026), and my Appalachian weird horror novella, Godfestation (2026). And I'm part of some new anthologies in the future as well, with new short stories of my own, which I'll talk more about in the future.
What's next in terms of writing? I was hitting pause, but someone in the industry encouraged me to finish up and query for an agent (or agents) with two specific genre fiction books. I might just get one of them done by the end of August, and the other in September. I actually have several manuscripts at various stages, but as these two seem to have current market appeal, I don't see the harm in shuffling them to the top of the deck. And I'm also tinkering with another thriller. Aaaand...I've actually been writing a travel memoir on the side! What I do with that, I am not sure.
I might also start hosting two kinds of workshops: one on writing, and one on art. And speaking of art, I have been commissioned for something REALLY cool. I hope I can reveal it later this year. If you didn't know, I'm an award-winning artist, focusing on analog art such as watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, pen and ink, and pencil. I am open for commissions as well. My return to making art and designs has been long overdue, and it makes sense in an increasingly digitized landscape for me to stick to the basics I love.
Now, truly, for a quiet evening of a walk, TV, and tinkering with new, shimmery inks.

Wishing you all a pleasant evening, and I'll update again early next week, unless I get more news before then.
Write on!
