November 2025 Newsletter
Upcoming events, book news, and more!
Dear Readers,
October swept in and out in a blur of leaves, birthdays, and undulating emotions as I navigated a full month without a dear loved one, had a book launch, and began to pivot toward the end of this challenging year. It was sometimes tough, but I rallied.

I had a lovely book launch at Underdog Bookstore! And I have a few signed copies of my books there as well. Thank you to readers who stopped by. Someone even came up from Orange County, who had followed since my OG Twitter sh*tposting account days many years ago, and even had a first edition copy of Heliopause!

Now that The Secret of the Sapphire Sentinel is out in the world, I hope you'll all enjoy the second adventure The Amethyst Lantern Series universe.

Early Preorders for THE VALE OF SEVEN DRAGONS!

I'm so pleased to see that my publisher for The Vale of Seven Dragons (April 7, 2026 via Sley House Publishing) has early preorders on their site, meaning you can order directly from them! Global preorders for all vendors will follow soon, but if you want to get in early head here for paperbacks:

And here for hardbacks:

I'll update the book page on my own site with other links as they become available.
November Activities
With the year winding down, the events are also. But I do have some fun things scheduled for November!
On November 8, I'm back on Talkin' Tauntauns talking about a new STAR WARS book! This time, I'll join Jim and Alex to discuss Sanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel by Lamar Giles.

You should be able to access our chat via most podcast platforms.

November 15 is Indie Author Day at Anaheim Public Library, where I'll be signing my own books, and also talking about being Editor-in-Chief of Stars and Sabers Publishing. There will be several authors and small press publishers in attendance.

On November 30, I'm hosting a SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association) "Writing Date". This is a weekly online co-working writing date with a different host every session. It runs on Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. PST in the Nebula Zoom (a.k.a. the Airship Nebula), and the sessions are open to all SFWA members and attendees of the Nebula Conference. I've hosted this before, as a SFWA volunteer and Nebula Award finalist, and it is essentially a session of encouragement for writers, complete with breakout sessions.

Writing Update
Now it's game time: I must writing finish a novel by the end of the year, and I've had to sit myself down and push through all the difficulties to get back in the swing of things. I am a fast writer, so I can get it done in time. It's just been hard to write. Still, I returned to form this week, working steadily on The Dawn of Dusk and Twilight, which will be published in one year.
In the meantime, I'm trying to place a dark academia sci-fi/fantasy novel either with an agent or a publisher (there's a tentative offer from one publisher already), and I am hoping to get some news on that before the publishing industry winds down for the year. Yes, that is a thing, and in America, the calendar tightens even more due to having Thanksgiving ahead of the winter holidays.
I have many plans for how my writing may go for 2026, but they can wait until this year's duties are done and dusted. It's also time for me to switch to holiday mode, baking and cooking for Thanksgiving, and also for making all the other cozy autumn foods that I've put off for cooler weather.
I'll chime in later this month with more updates, and in the meantime, I'm wishing you all a gentle November, full of every good thing.
Ad astra,
Jendia Gammon
