Hi everyone! It's the book birthday for Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers, the first published book under our imprint, Stars and Sabers Publishing! After months of preparation, crowdfunding, chaotic shipping delays, damaged books from the distributor, a missing box of books that went to Australia instead of England (presumably it's in the Kuiper Belt now), a wildfire close to my home, and so forth...time marched on and this gorgeous book is now out in the world, available to buy in paperback, hardcover, or ebook editions.
What's the Book About?
Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers is an anthology, collecting twenty-nine authors' short stories into one volume. They range from fantasy, to horror, to science fiction, and every spectrum of speculative fiction in between. All of them are fascinating and thought-provoking, some are charming, some are wistful, some are terrifying, and they'll all linger with you.
Who's in the Book?
With authors from around the world, and spanning both traditional and independent publishing careers, as well as four generations (Boomer, GenX, Millennial, and GenZ), this is a truly remarkable book. For some of the writers, this anthology contains their first-ever short story, as most of them are novelists, some are comic book writers, and others are screen or audio writers!

A Labor of Love and Hope
We wanted the first book from Stars and Sabers Publishing, like all of its forthcoming books, to be representative of the possibility that speculative fiction offers to the literary world.
